Dear Mr Macnaghten,

As requested by you, I am sending herewith extracts from the letters received from three of the Nursing Sisters at present employed at the Civil Hospital, Hong Kong. Of the three nurses referred to in Nurse Law- rence's letter, Nurse Astin was appointed in April 1914, Nurse Bone in June 1914, and Nurse Craddock in November 1914.

I find there is nothing on paper in the Office referring to friction between the Nursing Staff and Dr. Johnson in British East Africa. These complaints were ver- bal, when nurses called at the office on their return to

England.

Yours sincerely,

Inneel Haw Rins

Acting Hon. Secretary.
